About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leader to join our Communities and Social Performance (CSP) Area of Expertise (AoE) in Rio Tinto's Technical CSP function.
This role is a great opportunity for a social investment/development expert to support the establishment, refinement, and execution of strategic social investment partnerships across Australia.

Position: Principal Advisor, Social Investment Australia.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to RT's global social investment transformation.
Demonstrate culturally appropriate outcomes and change at scale.
Be accountable for the strategy, implementation, and performance of our strategic social investment programme – Culture, Heritage and Place.
Bring extensive experience in partnership design and development evaluation methodologies.
Deliver/facilitate co-design processes with Indigenous stakeholders/communities.
Understand risk management processes and apply analysis-informed strategy development.
What you'll bring:
A commitment to safety and wellbeing.
Degree level qualifications in a social science or related discipline.
Good understanding of social, cultural, and economic challenges.
Experience in designing and managing partnerships with Indigenous organisations.
Effective influencing skills with senior leaders.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
Experience in delivering successful social investment outcomes.
