About the role: In this role you will:
Contribute to the review of a fit-for-purpose and robust Enterprise Risk Management Framework and associated policy, guidelines and artefacts that ensure a consistent approach to risk management across the department.Coordinate reporting on the departmental and divisional risk profiles, analyse risk reporting and prepare reporting submissions for the ELT and the ARC, providing assurance that risks are being monitored appropriately.Take a business partner approach to building a proactive risk management culture by facilitating discussions, seeking opportunities to collect information that would inform the department's risk appetite and profile, and assisting with updating registers.Deliver risk management awareness training, including developing and facilitating the department's Community of Practice for risk coordinators.Advise senior and executive management, and other departmental employees on contemporary matters relating to risk to assist in achieving strategic objectives.Maintain expert knowledge of contemporary risk management standards and supporting systems, policies and practices to provide advice, evaluation, and best practice guidance in relation to fit for purpose risk management practice and appropriate business solutions.Contribute to a positive and connected team environment that values performance, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.Represent the department at whole-of-government forums including committees, working groups and professional networks as appropriate.Provide advice on legislative compliance to internal stakeholders.Maintain the internal compliance register and associated breach reporting mechanisms.Administer the annual compliance attestation.This position requires: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.The ability to manage multiple complex projects and business processes.A sound understanding of linkages between planning and risk, compliance, including managing opportunities.Demonstrated experience in the use of Power BI or other business intelligence applications.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
