broad and exciting.Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Controls, you will: Provision of strong technical discipline leadership in driving consistent and bestpractice project controls support, as well as governance, for Iron Ore Projects.Ensure procedures, systems and processes are implemented to effectively manage and report project controls activities and meet both owner's team and corporate requirements.Preparation, collation and validation of project and portfolio reporting including estimating, planning and cost control curves.Oversee EPCM project controls activities to ensure compliance with Rio Tinto projects procedures and requirements.Preparation, collation and validation of project and portfolio reporting including estimating, planning and cost control curves.Manages the relationship with project controls stakeholders within the project and within the business.Identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement or optimisation of project systems, processes, quality, safety, as well as to resolve problems.Contribute to capability development of project controls team members through development of competencies and training.Contribute to improved project outcomes through active participation in the Integrated Assurance program and where required lead assurance engagements.What you'll bring A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team A recognised expert with 15 years' experience predominantly in project controls but can include planning, cost control, engineering and/or project management for major and mega projects and studies.Driving operational and technical excellence by mentoring and identifying development opportunities for team members The ability to interpret and present project data in a way that adds value to projects by providing insightful reporting and forecasting information.Demonstrated management and leadership experience with an ability to work in team environments.Thorough understanding of the mining, metals industry as it relates to project controls and project delivery.Passionate focus on project governance and project management.Ability to influence and engage with culturally and geographically diverse teams.Desire to share knowledge and work closely with a wide range of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work within large multi-disciplinary teams to consistently achieve
