Principal Accountant – Faar

Unit/Division: Central Office -> Business Services - Finance
The role provides expert support and advice to Manager Financial Accounting, Analysis and Reporting (FAAR) including deputising when required.
The successful candidate will assist the Manager (FAAR) in managing, planning and leading the financial accounting and processing functions for whole of WA Country Health Service (WACHS) in support of organisational goals, including:
Formulating and implementing strategies that optimise business processes, controls, and the use of human resources in delivering organisational services.Maintaining the financial fidelity and integrity of the WACHS general ledger and accounts payable process for reporting and operational purposes.Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
