POSITION OVERVIEW Position Title: Primary Wellbeing Support Officer
Commencing: 20/01/2025
Type: Part-Time
Hours of Work: 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, 5 days a week, 40 weeks per year, with 4 weeks annual leave. Wage is annualised over the year.
Reports to: Director of Upper Primary
FTE Salary: Commensurate with qualifications & experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to help students navigate emotional and social challenges, under the guidance of the Cedar Care Coordinator. Implement wellbeing programs and activities that promote resilience, positive self-image, and healthy peer relationships. Act as a point of contact for students needing support and encouragement, fostering a sense of trust and safety. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to identify students who may benefit from additional wellbeing support and create action plans. Support conflict resolution, behavioural guidance, and peer mediation when needed, contributing to a peaceful and respectful school community. Uphold and promote the Christian ethos of Cedar College, integrating a Christian worldview in interactions with students. Work proactively to build positive relationships with students, staff and families. PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS Demonstrate a sincere commitment to Jesus Christ, the philosophy of Christian Education, and be actively involved in your local church. Be reliable and responsible in building trust within the Cedar community and acting with excellence and integrity. Demonstrate the ability to interact with students and colleagues in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner. Ability to model and develop positive relationships with students and foster their physical, spiritual, social and emotional development.
