Key duties: Plan, develop and deliver engaging music lessons to Primary students, including teaching music theory, history and practical music skills.Align music lessons with the school's curriculum and educational standards. Design and review age-appropriate music programs and materials.Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the music classroom.Work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and school events.Stay current with the latest music education trends and techniques. Attend workshops, training, and conferences to enhance teaching skills.Foster an appreciation for different styles of music, composers, and cultures. Expose students to a variety of musical genres.Show proficiency in teamwork, strategic thinking, innovative planning, and embody the ethos and mission of the school.Offering: Full-time position commencing in 2025.Join a close-knit, community-oriented Catholic Primary School.Teach students from Foundation through Year 6, covering a diverse range of primary year levels.Benefit from supportive and transparent leadership, with access to dedicated learning coaches and mentoring programs.Competitive salary package based on experience, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000.Skills & Experience: Completed a minimum 4 year Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification.Hold a valid and up-to-date VIT registration.Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.Previous experience in Primary music teaching.Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).How to apply:
