The Role
The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic Primary Health and Physical Education Teacher who is committed to delivering quality learning experiences that see students achieve their personal best. This role will involve teaching HPE to lower Primary (Prep – Year 3) students and will report directly to the Head of Primary. This a full-time, Term 1 2025 contract with the potential for extension.
All teaching staff at Coomera Anglican College are expected to take part in the whole life of the College, including participation and involvement in pastoral care, sport, cocurricular activities and special event days.
To be successful, you will: Be passionate about and have experience in teaching Health and Physical Education to Lower Primary students (Prep - Year 3) Develop termly programmes for both Physical Education and Health which stimulate learning, engage students and promote excellence Develop assessment tasks according to the requirements of the syllabus Be able to differentiate to cater for the individual needs of your students and deliver a high-quality learning experience Demonstrate contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies Incorporate digital technologies into effective teaching and learning Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Australian Curriculum Be able to effectively communicate and build relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader College community In addition, the candidate must hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in Primary Education as well as current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.
