ROLE SUMMARY:Reddam House Sydney is excited to invite applications for an exceptional Primary Teacher (Year 1-4) to join our dynamic team in the 2025 academic year. At our school in Woollahra, every individual is important to us. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepare daily and long-term lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and objectives.Deliver comprehensive instruction across a range of subject areas, including mathematics, English, science, technology, humanities and social sciences, arts, health, and physical education.Arrange and manage classroom resources to create an engaging and effective learning environment.Utilise creative activities, such as art, games, sports, and music, to develop students' interests, abilities, and coordination.Maintain productive working habits and discipline within the classroom to foster a respectful and focused learning atmosphere.Set up classrooms as needed for different subjects and ensure the space is clean and organised after lessons.Supervise students throughout the day, both during instructional time and during breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.Assess and evaluate students' educational progress and abilities, providing feedback and reports to students, parents, and administrators.Monitor and support students' emotional and social well-being, addressing any issues that may arise.Prepare and administer exams, assignments, and other assessments, and mark student work to measure learning outcomes.Participate in staff meetings, House meetings, assemblies, and staff development days.Engage with parents and guardians during parent evenings and open days to discuss student progress and address concerns.Organise, attend, and supervise various school activities, including excursions, concerts, art exhibitions, fundraising events, camps, sporting events, and presentations.Undertake professional development to maintain NESA accreditation and stay current with educational best practices.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Proven experience in teaching at the primary school level, with a strong understanding of curriculum requirements.Demonstrated ability to teach a wide range of subjects effectively and engage students with diverse learning needs.Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and disciplined learning environment.Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to monitor and report on student progress accurately.Experience in organising and supervising school activities and events.Proficient in using educational technologies and creative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
