About the Role:
A great opportunity has opened for a Primary PE teacher to join a welcoming P-9 school community in Truganina, starting in Term 1, 2025. This role involves working closely with the Sport/Specialist faculty, teaching PE to students in Years F-6. Key duties: Design and implement a curriculum that encourages physical fitness, motor skills development, and overall health within the Victorian Curriculum.Lead students in various physical activities, sports, and exercises to enhance their cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and coordination.Provide guidance and constructive feedback to help students improve their individual and team-based skills.Instil values of sportsmanship, fair play, and teamwork through organized sports and group activities.Use various assessment methods to gauge individual and group performance, providing feedback for improvement.Create an inclusive environment that accommodates students with different abilities and learning styles.Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring everyone can participate and experience success.Ensure a safe and secure environment during physical activities, implementing proper safety protocols.Skills & Experience: Full Australian Working rights.Minimum 4 year Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification.Current VIT registration or working towards this.Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.Teaching experience in a Primary/Secondary school in Australia.Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Offering: A full-time position starting Term 1, 2025.Instructing students across years F-6.Interacting with approachable and transparent leadership.Work as part of a larger Sports faculty.Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000.Continuing opportunities for professional development.The School: Approximately 1,500 students spanning Foundation to Year 9.Warm, inclusive school environment with a progressive educational approach.State-of-the-art facilities with modern amenities.Strong emphasis on integrating Indigenous perspectives throughout the school and curriculum.Accessible and supportive leadership team, providing comprehensive support for both teachers and students.How to apply: To apply, follow the link provided or apply on our website.
