The opportunityWe are seeking a passionate and motivated K-6 Teacher to join our teaching team and enrich the learning of our students.
The successful candidate will:Have a sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.Inspire a love of learning in their students.Be engaging and innovative.Demonstrate a commitment to unleashing the potential of each student.Be committed to the continual improvement of your teaching practice and receptive to opportunities for personal and professional development.Have active listening skills and the ability to engage with and build strong positive relationships with members of the school community including employees, students and parents.Have the ability to cater for students with diverse backgrounds, needs and abilities.Maintain industry currency, sharing their passion for learning.Structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of your students.Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans.Evaluate all aspects of your teaching practice to ensure you are meeting the learning needs of each student.Interpret and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and to challenge students to improve their performance.Effectively manage the learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to parents/carers.Please address the above criteria in your cover letter.
