This role is based in a vibrant regional town in New South Wales, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of the local Indigenous community.
As the Practice Nurse, you'll be a critical part of the health team, providing a wide range of services to patients, including assessments, immunisations, chronic disease management, wound care, and assistance with minor procedures.
Your role will focus on delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive care to support the health and wellness of the community.
Further Details Up to $110,000.00 PA + 11.5% superannuationMonday to Friday, standard clinics hours onlyStarting November 2024Permanent, full-time positionLocated only 30 minutes from Dubbo, NSWFully furnished accommodation providedFlights provided within AustraliaUniform providedKey Responsibilities Patient Care: Conduct assessments, screenings, and immunisations; assist with minor procedures.Chronic Disease Management: Create care plans, support patient self-care, and provide education.Wound Care: Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and patient education.Testing and Diagnostics: Conduct ECG and spirometry tests, report findings.Health Education: Promote preventive care and lifestyle advice tailored to individual needs.Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records.Community Health Support: Contribute to health initiatives with a culturally sensitive approach.Eligibility Criteria Full AHPRA registration with no restrictionsMinimum 2 years' experience as a Practice Nurse or in Primary HealthNationally recognised vaccination certificationCompletion of Covid-19 vaccination modulesBasic Life Support (CPR) certificationExperience in Indigenous health and community work (desirable)Full Australian working rightsKey Skills and Experience Required ImmunisationECG and SpirometryChronic disease managementWound care, dressing changes, and minor proceduresBlood collection/Phlebotomy (desirable)Cannulation (desirable)How to Apply
