About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Primary French LOTE teacher to join a welcoming school in Caroline Springs, Melbourne's West, starting Term 1, 2025. This full-time, permanent role is perfect for educators at any stage of their career, from enthusiastic new graduates to experienced teaching professionals. The position involves teaching French across Foundation to Year 6, allowing you to engage students at various developmental stages. Key Duties: Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align with the Victorian Curriculum for Primary/Secondary levels.Deliver effective and interactive French language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.Introduce aspects of French culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.Design assessments to evaluate student language acquisition and provide constructive feedback.Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate French language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.Skills & Experience: Must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia.Current VIT registration is essential.Proven experience teaching Primary French LOTE in Australia.Graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported.Ability to provide two education-based references from the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Offering: A full-time, ongoing position starting Term 1, 2025.Be part of a small French LOTE team with collegial planning and support.Work with students in years P-6.Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000.Continuing opportunities for professional development and leadership in the near future.The School: Around 1300 students from years P-9.Dedicated school leaders across a range of year levels and areas to support teachers and students.Warm, inclusive school environment with enthusiastic teaching staff and management committed to creating excellent practices for students and teachers.Excellent positive behaviour school-wide program, recognised by the department for a positive impact.Why Work with Tradewind?
