We are seeking a Personal Trainer to join our gym team!
About the Role
The Personal Trainer will develop, deliver, and supervise training programs for Primary Care Connect's clients. The PT will ensure that Primary Care Connect, in accordance with industry training requirements, provides a safe and professional space to deliver training programs. Programs the Personal Trainer will deliver but is not limited to, will include:
Group personal training Older adults group fitness classes Lungs in Action training Group specific exercise classes (Refugee, Women, Community Cancer) Other training programs as required The Personal Trainer reports to the Team Leader Allied Health and works within the Primary Health Team. It is also expected that this position works within the larger Primary Care Connect team, and network with external organisations.
Key Selection Criteria
The following criteria must be met and addressed in applications for consideration for this position:
Certificate III in Fitness Registration with recognised fitness body such as Fitness Australia or Physical Activity Australia Current Apply First Aid or equivalent Minimum of two years experience in the Health and Fitness Industry Experience in writing and reviewing personal training programs for a wide variety of clients and experience in conducting individual and group training High level of knowledge of exercise prescription and personal training techniques, including functional based training Ability to motivate and engage with clients throughout personal training sessions Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety in relation to personal training Commitment to professional development through relevant professional peak bodies Experience using technology to complete daily work tasks Professional and personal alignment to Primary Care Connects core values Certificate IV in Fitness An understanding of the social determinants of health and health promoting principles Benefits and Perks
