The role The purpose of the Pricing Manager - Lifestyle role will be to lead the end-to-end pricing of the company's Lifestyle products (motorcycle, travel, pet, etc).
This includes building technical capability, managing data, pricing algorithms, monitoring and implementation.
To be successful in this role, the Pricing Manager - Lifestyle should have solid technical skills, a commercial mindset and the ability to lead a technical team.

Position Accountabilities Pricing To lead and manage end-to-end pricing processes for Lifestyle products (e.g.
motorcycle, travel, pet), including data, modelling, review, implementation, and monitoring.Provide thought leadership and quality advice on pricing strategy, risk assessment and other price-related matters.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the end-to-end pricing process.Understand and communicate the expected impact of pricing changes to GMs, Directors and Pricing & Underwriting Committee.Consider and evaluate alternative data sources and modelling approaches for pricing.Ensure data and processes used for pricing analysis are well-governed, accurate and delivered on time.Consider and evaluate improvements to pricing infrastructure as it relates to data and processes (e.g.
new functionality, alternate software platforms). Other Provide pivotal analytical support and leadership within the Pricing Team.Manage and mentor pricing staff, building technical capability.Foster and embed a strong risk culture.Prepare and effectively present complex papers to Directors or the Pricing & Underwriting Committee.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the company's objectives.Define requirements and manage complex IT changes on behalf of Pricing.
Perform other reasonable and relevant activities as requested occasionally to meet operational requirements. What experience you'll bring 7+ years of general insurance pricing experience.Proven analytical and problem-solving capability.Excellent attention to detail.People management.A clear understanding of statistical modelling techniques and, in particular, predictive modelling approaches (e.g.
GLMs).Familiarity with statistical software packages (e.g.
Earnix, Radar/Emblem, Python, SQL) is advantageous, and Degree qualified in mathematics, actuarial studies or similar (Actuarial qualifications viewed favourably).
