Pricing, Contracts and Tenders Manager – 12-Month MAT Leave Contract Essity is seeking a dynamic Pricing, Contracts & Tenders Manager to join our Health & Medical Business Unit to lead our strategic price management, contracts, and tender processes across Australia and New Zealand.
This role is pivotal in aligning our pricing strategies with company values and objectives, ensuring high commercial standards, and driving our tender and bid processes from preparation to submission.
About the Role: As our Pricing, Contracts & Tenders Manager, you will be responsible for leading the customer price management team and system, refining and executing pricing strategies, and managing the end-to-end tender and contract process.
You will work closely with our commercial, sales and marketing teams to build a deep understanding of value, cost, and risk drivers, ensuring timely and accurate submission of contracts and tenders. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder functions.
What You Will Do: Lead the customer price management and rebates team, system and manage the development, refinement, and execution of pricing strategies. Oversee the end-to-end tender and contract process within Australia and New Zealand, ensuring high commercial standards. Coordinate multiple stakeholder functions to ensure timely submission of contracts and tenders. Drive and facilitate bi-monthly regional tender and contract reviews. Ensure appropriate documentation is available to meet tender criteria, leading initiatives to support specific tender campaigns. Develop systems, tools, and documentation to advise and support business stakeholders. Ensure good contract governance and compliance with corporate standards and regulatory control. Develop plans to streamline tender processes. Delegate authority and responsibility to team members with supervision, accountability, and review. Monitor and manage contractual obligations throughout the contract lifecycle, providing updates, reports, and business reviews. Identify and mitigate commercial threats and risks impacting tendering activities. Contribute to monthly reporting processes, variation and claims reports, and audit reviews. Manage key communications on contract risk issues, liaising with external legal advisors as needed. Who You Are: You will bring 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the medical devices or healthcare industry, with extensive experience in strategic price management, contracts, and tender processes. You will also have:
A university degree in Economics, Commerce, or a similar field. Strong commercial acumen with proficiency in handling tough conversations and negotiations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in developing and executing pricing strategies. Excellent stakeholder management abilities with industry partners. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships across the business. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on due diligence. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A commitment to continuous improvement and innovative thinking. IT-savvy with experience in virtual platforms and familiarity with Excel-based submission platforms. Access to a car and a valid Australian driver's licence.
