Our Presales and Architecture teams operate at the front of the sales pipeline assisting sales to win work.
As a small team that requires staff to carry a broad set of skills and also has to be adaptable to various situations, we require a high calibre, proven performer that can blend well with our team and bring a solid background of contribution that stands out from the pack, engaging our customers in such a way that their efforts enhance Datacom's reputation.

What you'll do
In this role, you'll join our architecture team to drive adoption of the wide range of solutions provided by Datacom.
You'll use your individual creativity to create and promote innovative solutions across our IT Service offerings, focusing on Managed Services and IT outsourcing solutions.
You'll lead the technical pre-sales scoping and costing of solution engagements, working directly with our sales specialists, vendors, and clients to produce compelling, fit-for-purpose concepts and designs using a wide range of technology.
You'll become fully immersed in the client's technical environment to make the best recommendations.
A natural presenter, you'll lead workshops and create technical documentation to ensure all parties are clear on the technology roadmap.

What you'll bring
We are looking for a seasoned Solution Architect with extensive experience working in complex enterprise scale environments.
You have a strong understanding of Managed Services and IT Outsourcing to really own technical presales conversations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive productive relationships.
You will have a consultative approach and the ability to influence senior management and project leaders.
To be successful in the role, you must have:
A broad technical background in the Infrastructure and Managed Services spectrum Previous experience in developing and delivering enterprise solutions to Government clients in a managed services contractual environment Proficient in commercial and contract management including pricing strategies Extensive experience in preparing bid reports, RFP, RFI, and other tendering documents Thorough knowledge and understanding of the applicability of Architectural frameworks, with relevant certifications The leadership skills to mentor and upskill the team, and take charge of projects A deep understanding of the ITIL framework Why join us here at Datacom?
