PRESALES DATA ARCHITECT 6 month contractSydneyFinancial ServicesTHE ROLE Opus have partnered with a consulting client in the financial services space who are looking for a presales architect to support sales, pre-sales and delivery of data projects on AWS.
You will be overseeing strategic projects and work closely with technical resources and project managers to make key delivery decisions for successful outcomes.
Please note this role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the clients Sydney office.
RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and implement end-to-end modern data platforms in support of analytics and AI use cases.Collaborate with enterprise & data architects, ETL developers, data scientists and designers to identify and define required data structures, formats, pipelines, metadata and workload orchestration capabilities.Address data privacy & security, ingestion & processing, storage & compute, analytical & operational consumption, data modelling, data virtualization, self-service data preparation & analytics, AI enablement and API integrations.Directly collaborate with the sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy to facilitate the adoption of data technologies.Lead professional services elements of relevant data proposals and RFP responses including scope, pricing models and SOW development.Lead commercial negotiations for data SOWs.Lead/contribute to partner selection and onboarding for relevant opportunities.YOU WILL HAVE Experience leading engagement from design to implementation of creative data solutions to enable use cases in analytics and AI.Experience architecting solutions for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional sources using SQL, NoSQL and data pipelines for real-time, streaming, batch and on-demand workloads.Experience with analytics/data management strategy, architectural planning and business case development.Experience in cloud or multi-server complex environments.Ability to simplify complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong SQL, Database, Data Modelling, Data warehousing and development skills.Strong programming/scripting using Java, Python, .NET or Scala.Experience in cloud big data & analytics services on AWS cloud.Experience with dashboarding and reporting tools.Experience with industry ETL tools.Strong people management skills.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading organisation on an exciting journey.
