Specialising in expert offset print solutions, including catalogues and magazines, they pride themselves on delivering the highest quality publications to their clients. Operating in Melbourne's East, they feature full-sized A1 presses, digital printing capabilities, and a comprehensive binding department.

About the Opportunity Our client is looking for an experienced Prepress Operator to join their team full-time in Mount Waverley, VIC. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily prepress activities, working from files supplied through to plate creation. You will also handle some digital printing tasks and are expected to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Handling daily prepress duties, from file management through to creating plates Operating digital printing equipment as required Preparing print files for production, ensuring accuracy and quality Managing and troubleshooting prepress equipment Collaborating with the production team to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met Working independently to manage time and priorities effectively Maintaining communication with the production team regarding job progress Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards Using Heidelberg Prinect (advantageous but not essential) About You To qualify, you will need prior experience in a similar prepress operator role, ideally with both offset and digital printing. Experience with Heidelberg Prinect will be highly regarded, though it is not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised are critical.
