Experience within the luxury hospitality sector is desirable.We push the hotel bar concept into the future celebrating unconventional ingredients.Job DescriptionWhat you'll doYour role is to join pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona to successfully open and launch our cocktail bar and lead the growth, maintain the standards of excellence, and always seek to improve performance of all areas of our business and to train, manage and motivate our team whilst fostering company culture.You will be working closely with Director of Food & Beverage and assistant of Food & Beverage Director in day-to-day operations, staff training, managing compliance and ensuring health and food safety standards are adhered to and we expect you to work in service. You will be responsible for issuing and managing rota in accurate and timely manner.You will be an integral part of the team, and will help manage our stock ordering, stock holding, stock taking and managing inventory. Your responsibilities include forecasting sales and ensuring all items are correctly and accurately costed and priced according to margin targets issued by the management.This is a full-time salaried position. The successful candidate will be working at our venue and might be from time to time requested to travel. Hours may vary and you will be required to work weekends and nights – this is not a 9-5 job!You need to maintain and build on existing business, as well as develop new business opportunities.Work with Food and Beverage Director and Beverage Director to:Manage the teamManage day to day operationsManage effective communicationsEnsure high-quality service that meets guest needs promptly and courteously, maximizing satisfaction and encouraging return visits.Guest satisfaction assessmentBuild training plans and conduct trainingManage and issue monthly rotaManagement of orders and stock takingProduct costing and pricing strategyConducting staff inductionManagement of Health and SafetyManagement of Food SafetyManagement of complianceManagement of maintenanceAnalyse sales and market dataForecasting salesOrder managementAssist with hiring process, conduct performance appraisals, and make personnel-related decisions.Track and control team productivity and operational expenses to ensure profitabilityEnsures that food and beverage products are of the highest quality and presented to the highest standardSupports the Director of Food and Beverage in administrative tasks, departmental reports, and strategic planningImplement and enforce cash and payment control policies within food & beverage areas, ensuring compliance among staffManaging budgetPrepare monthly management accounts with accounting departmentQualificationsWhat we are looking for...Highly motivated individual with a passion for drinks, food, service and hospitality with entrepreneurial outlook and 'can-do' attitude.
