The Opportunity The WHS and Risk Manager leads Work Health and Safety (WHS) and risk management initiatives within the local government framework, ensuring compliance with Queensland WHS legislation, policies, and best practices.
This role involves designing, monitoring, and improving safety programs and policies to reduce workplace hazards and risks.
About You Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or higher qualification – MandatoryExperience in WHS and risk management, preferably within local government or a public sector environment.Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice and risk management frameworks / principles applicable in Queensland.Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems.Driver's License Class CClear National Criminal History Check or ability to acquirePrepared to Work Safely in the Construction IndustryTo Apply Applications in Word format should be forwarded to us by clicking the 'Apply' button below.
