The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0 .
This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role: General/joint inspections at the precast yard in accordance with the relevant ITPs and drawings in order to ensure a correct and timely communication of any quality issues/non-conformances, collection of all relevant Quality Records.
Qualifications: Tertiary Qualifications or related discipline such as, diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
White Card Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works Required Competencies: Good understanding of Quality Specification (Q6) and ISO AS/NZS 9001 requirements.
Sound knowledge of construction materials and related specifications.
Good working knowledge of Management System Good knowledge of statistical techniques, quality tools Exceptional problem-solving skills Strong Initiative and proactive nature Key collaborative skills Strong stakeholder management skills across different levels Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Well-developed time management skills High attention to detail Exceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as EMDS Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Undertake quality inspections at the precast yard to ensure conformity with the relevant ITPs and drawings.
Ensure proper handling and storage of segments/precast elements.
Collection of all relevant Quality Records.
Draft of Non-Conformances Reports.
Verify the implementation of corrective and preventive actions proposed in the Non-Conformances.
Defects management.
Attend regular Quality and Construction meetings in his own area of responsibility.
Review and consult with Precast Quality Coordinator on matters of surveillance and inspection.
Communicate and resolve any construction quality issues proactively with relevant precast supervisor.
Any other duties as directed by the Precast Quality Coordinator and/or Construction Quality Control Lead.
Comply with FGJV policies and procedures.
Complete required tasks in a timely manner.
