Based in Newcastle, we are well known for delivering high quality products and services across the Hunter Region and beyond.About CIA Precast & SteelCIA Precast & Steel is a leading manufacturer of high-quality, tailored precast concrete panels and steel fabrication.The benefits:A supportive team that works together to improve safety, quality, culture and performanceWork Life Balance24/7 Employee Assistance Program for all employees and their direct family membersCompetitive salary package, annual reviews and great working conditionsJoin an established business with job security due to our strong reputation and a solid pipeline of workCareer development and progression opportunitiesThe role:Reporting directly to the CIA Precast & Steel Business Manager and on the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for:Effectively leading a safe and sustainable Precast Concrete WorkshopLeading and managing the Precast Team and the operations to ensure all work is manufactured safely, efficiently, on time, to a high standard and meets our customers' expectationsEffectively communicate, engage and lead change to improve overall performance and cultureLead the production planning, scheduling, quality, production efficiency and costsDeliver on operational performance objectives by implementing and sustaining best practice, driving improvements and streamlining the operational processesAbout you:Have proven previous experience as a Leader / Manager or similar roleCommitment and proven ability to build a proactive health, safety, environment and quality cultureHave a background in Concrete Products Manufacturing and Trade Qualifications (desirable)Precast Concrete manufacturing experience (desirable)Proven leadership, supervisory and people skills supported by formal management/leadership training, i.e., Certificate IV in Front Line Management or equivalent (desirable)Have strong estimating, planning and scheduling skillsProficient verbal and written communication skills required for internal and external dealings and negotiationsWell-developed time management skills, ability to prioritise workload, delegate, manage several tasks simultaneously and deliver on deadlinesProficient level of computer/systems literacy and willing to continually upskill as requiredHold and maintain an unrestricted class "C"PLEASE NOTE: The successful applicant will be required to undertake a full pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test.
