Job Title: Pre-Sales Solutions Architect/Post-Sales Systems Engineer

Position Overview: Spectra Logic is seeking a seasoned combination Pre-Sales Solutions Architect/Post-Sales Systems Engineer to support and drive our sales efforts. You will provide technical expertise, strategic guidance, and sales campaign support to the sales force, while being a key person in the region for the implementation of new solutions and maintaining existing customers.
This position is ideal for a technical person who is an excellent communicator and has an understanding of storage technologies, cloud storage, enterprise IT, and networking.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to deliver technical expertise during sales engagements. Participate in customer meetings, providing insights on Spectra Logic's products, technologies, and solutions that address customer challenges in backup, archive, hybrid cloud, data protection, and large-scale storage environments.Solution Architecture: Guide customers in designing and implementing solutions involving Spectra Logic products. Provide authoritative advice on workflows related to data protection, ransomware threat mitigation, hybrid cloud architectures, and large-scale storage installations.Technical Authority: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal teams, leveraging your knowledge of storage technologies, including experience with backup, archive, hybrid cloud architectures, data protection, and security.Customer Engagement: Engage with customers at both the technical and executive levels, understanding their unique needs and challenges. Develop tailored solutions that not only meet technical requirements but also align with the customer's broader strategic goals.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to influence product development based on customer feedback and market demands.Sales Strategy: Contribute to the overall sales strategy for the region, providing insights on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to help drive revenue growth.Navigate and manage complex customer setups for smooth on-site installations.Complete configuration and testing to ensure solutions are working as designed.Perform preventative maintenance at existing customer sites.Complete products upgrades and perform break-fix related functions with direction from Support tiers.Collaborate closely with Support Tiers and TAM teams providing key feedback and technical insights.Provide training to customer and customer teams.Qualifications:Experience: 5+ years of experience in storage, networking, enterprise IT, and cloud storage and compute.Technical Expertise: Understanding of storage technologies and architectures, including backup, archive, hybrid cloud, data protection, ransomware threat mitigation, and large-scale storage environments.High-Performance Compute (HPC) and Media & Entertainment Workflows: Knowledge and experience in these areas are highly preferred.Language Skills: Fluent in English.Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.Strategic Thinking: Ability to straddle the line between technical expertise and strategic selling, understanding how to leverage technology to drive business outcomes.Be very detail oriented, mechanically inclined and software scripting is considered a plus.Working knowledge of tape drives, libraries, storage arrays, storage networking, networking protocols, and general connectivity in multi-platform enterprise environments.Proven track record of managing technical integrations with strong project planning skills.Strong work ethic, willingness to collaborate, and be part of a positive team.Be able to do demanding physical work: You must be able to safely lift fifty pounds over your head and up to one hundred pounds in general.Required certifications or equivalent knowledge: CCNA, SNIA, and AWS.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Tape Libraries and LTO technology.Previous experience in a similar role within the storage or data management industry.Language Skills: individuals who have technical conversation skills in Korean may be given preference.Location Preference: This position can be based anywhere near a major metropolitan area in Australia.
