Civil Construction Company seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.
You will be based in our Brisbane Head Office and employed on a permanent basis.
About the role: Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to the below:
Develop, monitor and pursue opportunity pipelines.Develop pre-contract commercial strategies.Identify and communicate market trends and insights, gained through tracking of won/lost projects including competitors and customers.Strategic bid management experience in the following;Joint Venture (JV) Contracting
Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Contracting
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracting
CBOP (Civil Balance of Plant) and EBOP (Electrical Balance of Plant) EPC type of contracts
Build and strengthen key external stakeholders specifically across the Utilities, Road and Renewables sectorsDeveloping an in-depth understanding of sales pipeline management, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with company goalsDeveloping and maintaining Customer relationships in Strategic, Technical and Operational roles to ensure the Customer's opportunity pipeline, market strategy and organisational capabilities are understood.Identify and address contractual risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.Strong focus on Strategic Business Development.Skills & Qualifications required: Minimum 3 year's experience in a Pre-Contracts Management Role within the construction industry.Focus on maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline engineering, construction / project management or commercial law.Experience with Tier 1 and 2 civil contractors both client side and contracting.Varied experience in project lifecycle delivery from tender through to completion.Excellent verbal and written communication.Organisation and ability to maintain accurate and up to date records.What's on offer: Competitive salary based on the successful candidate's experienceA permanent position with a growing civil construction companyCareer progressionIf you are interested in the position please apply today!
