Our staff, both site and office, are instrumental to our continued growth and achievements.The Role:Due to recent expansion and an increase in tendering opportunities, we are currently seeking a full-time Pre-Construction Engineer to join our team in Bondi Junction.
Must have experience in Utilities and Civil infrastructure.A solid understanding of civil engineering principles is essential along with expertise in construction methods related to utilities, including trenching, pipe laying, underground utilities, and installation of related infrastructure.Key Duties:Create detailed project schedules, incorporating the various stages of the utility installation (e.g., excavation, trenching, pipe laying, testing).Develop method statements detailing how the work will be performed, from excavation through to final testing and commissioning.
This includes identifying potential risks and safety measures.Work closely with engineers and designers to ensure the proposed methodology aligns with the overall design of the project.
Reviewing engineering drawings, plans, and technical specifications.Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors on the planned methodology.
Ensure they understand the scope of work, timeline, and required resources.Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues that could delay the project or increase costs.Work with the Estimators to track project costs and ensure the methodology is aligned with the overall budget.Ensure that the project methodology complies with local laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards.Skills & Experience Required:Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.Strong Technical, Organisational and Communication Skills.Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.Ability to work in isolation to meet deadlines.Knowledge of local regulations and environmental standards for utility installation and construction.What's On Offer:At Vaughan Civil, we aim to build long-lasting relationships with our clients to ensure constant successful project delivery in line with stakeholders' needs and wants.
