An exciting opportunityexists for a permanent, full-time Practitioner in our Addictionsand Gamblers Help programs based in Glenorchy About us: Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a widerange of community services to the people of Tasmania. We are partof the national Anglicare Australia network of organisations.Anglicare advocates for social justice and aids people in times ofneed. We provide programs relating to ageing and disability,health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and supportand more.
About the Role: This role encompasses our Alcohol & Other Drugs and GamblersHelp programs.
The role will provide professional and exceptional communitysupport services to clientele accessing Health and Wellbeing–Addiction services provided by Anglicare in line withAnglicare's Practice Principles and Framework ofPractice.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrablecompetency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the followingareas: Provide support to people accessing Anglicare'saddiction services within the Anglicare practice framework andother standards related to the Community Services sector;Facilitate assessment and planning processes with peopleaccessing our addiction services and identify their personalbarriers and support needs and develop meaningful ways toovercome barriers and provide support;In collaboration with people accessing our addictionservices, develop a service plan to guide the intentionalsupport to be provided, provide regular intentional supportbased on service plan and identified support needs, reviewservice plans and support needs regularly and revise planaccordingly;Support people accessing our addiction services to findsustainable and meaningful access to natural communityresources, services and other supports, at the same time asencouraging and supporting self-advocacy andself-determination;Providing information on a broad range of issues includingbut not limited to health, employment, income support, trainingand skills development;Facilitate end of support planning with people seekingsupport;Provide Community education and information to services,organisations, community groups, neighbourhood and communityhouses;Relevant degree level qualification (Social Work,Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health), or essentially requiredaccreditation from a recognised institutionWhat we offer you: an attractive salary (Range $85,264 - $89,354) plus SalaryPackaging that can increase your take home pay; a 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in arelevant discipline;a friendly and supportive work environment.The Position Description can be found below. The successful applicant will be required to:
provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable PeopleRegistration (employment/volunteer category) including NDISWorker Screening Check;present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerablepeople type National Police Check (no older than 12months);provide an International Police Check if you have residedfor 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of16;provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical;provide a current provisional or full AustralianDriver's Licence.On commencement the successful applicant will be required toundertake our structured Safeguarding Children Trainingprogram.
