The Role
We are looking for a Full Time Practice Nurse Manager/Practice Manager to join our Bateman's Bay Urgent Care Centre to bring business improvements and business growth into our clinic.
In this role, you will manage and support our employees and Health Care Professionals.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for dealing with all day-to-day operational requirements of running a professional Urgent Care Centre and all aspects of employee management including talent development, mentoring, performance management, centre improvements, and managing the P & L's.
As a highly experienced registered nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service are identified as being appropriate for the service, triaged promptly, and provided with front line care in collaboration with the Urgent Care medical practitioner.

The Tasks
Identify, review, and troubleshoot operational issues.
Identify areas of improvement and drive change.
Monitor practice safety and standards across the clinic.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Ensure patient care is provided efficiently and effectively by managing varied clinical procedures as necessary.
Coach, train, and mentor the team to deliver the best clinical outcomes to all patients.
Responsible for triage of all patients who present to Urgent Care by performing comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments.
Take appropriate action for any triaged patients who require escalation due to an emergency presentation or deterioration of illness or injury.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability for the dynamic Urgent Care environment.
Provide high quality person-centred care activities relating to patients' injury or illness in collaboration with the patients, families, carers, and the medical practitioner.
Generate all rosters and monitor budgets.
Recruitment of staff.
Ability to work within documented policies and procedures.
Liaise with various stakeholders, including National Operations Manager, Regional Managers, and internal stakeholders within the centre.
The Successful Candidate
Proven leadership and management experience in the healthcare industry.
AHPRA Registered Nurse.
Previous experience in triage in an emergency department, preferably 1 year minimum.
5 years' experience preferred.
Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
A passion for people and a personable approach.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written and a high level of critical thinking and customer skills.
Can work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
