PRACTICE MANAGER/ PRIVATE PSYCHIATRY - VETERAN HEALTH!My client is a leading private psychiatry business that specializes in providing exceptional healthcare services to Veterans in Australia.We are now looking to connect with an experienced Practice Manager to support the launch, growth, and ongoing management of a new clinic dedicated to comprehensive mental health care. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer and a team of Psychiatrists and allied health staff, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and sustaining a high-functioning clinic that provides both face-to-face and telehealth services.This position will suit a skilled manager with a passion for healthcare, strong operational abilities, and a commitment to enhancing patient experience. You will be central to the roll-out of our clinic; coordinating recruitment, developing policies, and embedding clinical governance processes to ensure an exceptional standard of care.The clinic is projected to be located on the north side of Brisbane.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport lead psychiatrists and allied health professionals in achieving operational excellence.Oversee day-to-day practice operations of both telehealth and in-person psychiatry services, ensuring streamlined workflows and high standards of patient care.Conduct staff inductions, in-house training, and ongoing professional development.Manage diary scheduling, including waitlist management, booking of new clients, and rescheduling of appointments in collaboration with the clinical team.Handle operational and administrative queries from doctors and allied health staff with a solution-focused approach.Maintain the practice management software, ensuring it is current and effectively utilized.What You BringExperience: Minimum of 1-2 years in a practice management role preferably psychiatry; prior experience in clinic setup and rollout is highly advantageous.Experience working with DVA/ supporting Veterans, highly regarded.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with staff, practitioners, and patients effectively.Staff Management: Previous experience in managing clinical and administration teams is preferred.Billing Knowledge: Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, HICAPS, and private health insurance billing processes is advantageous.Organisational Skills: Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain a positive, can-do attitude under pressure.Patient-Centred Approach: A dedication to making a meaningful impact on our patients' lives and contributing to the success of our practice.
