The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing financial operations, enhancing patient services, ensuring compliance, and driving overall practice performance. Our specialist cardiology practice is located in a central location in Melbourne with 2 satellite regional Victoria locations. The practice features a team of highly qualified cardiologists, each with expertise in various subfields of cardiology, such as electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and structural heart disease.

Tasks & Responsibilities Operational ManagementOversee the daily operations of the practice.Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and operations.Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery.Oversee accounts payable, Medicare claims, and hospital procedures billings.Assist in completing financial reports for specialists.Manage accounts receivable, and maintain minimal outstanding claims through communicating with patients, Medicare, and private health funds.Human ResourcesRecruit, train, and manage administrative staff, fostering a positive work environment.Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement staff development initiatives.Ensure compliance with Fair Work requirements and address HR issues.Managing staff rostering.Patient Relations and ServicesMaintain high standards of patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction and promptly addressing concerns.Oversee patient registration and medical records management.Compliance & Risk ManagementDevelop and implement risk management strategies to minimize legal exposure and enhance patient safety.Oversee quality assurance programs and ensure continuous improvement in practice operations.Business DevelopmentDevelop strategic initiatives to increase referrals.Collaborate with external stakeholders to advertise and promote clinic services.Analyse financial reports, identify trends, and recommend strategies to improve profitability.Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in practice management or healthcare administration is mandatory.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Our cardiology practice is in its exciting early stages offering you a unique opportunity to grow and advance with us as we expand.
