Job Summary: The Practice Manager for Miya Services will lead and manage the operational aspects of children's services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centered care and support. This role involves overseeing the practice and performance of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the service. The Practice Manager will work closely with the Service Manager and other stakeholders to implement strategies that enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Lead and manage day-to-day operational activities within Miya Services, ensuring efficient service delivery aligned with organizational policies and procedures. Ensure that Miya services are delivered in compliance with national standards, legislation, and regulatory frameworks, including safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety guidelines. Support the development, implementation, and review of service plans, ensuring they reflect the needs of children and families within the service. Team Leadership and Development: Provide regular supervision, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities to staff members. Ensure staff are adequately trained, competent, and supported in their roles, and encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Promote a positive and inclusive team culture, ensuring high levels of staff engagement and retention. Quality Assurance and Practice Improvement: Champion a culture of high standards in practice and service delivery, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and child-focused. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, identifying areas for improvement and implementing action plans. Ensure regular audits, case reviews, and performance evaluations are conducted, with findings fed back into service improvements. Take a lead role in managing and responding to complaints, incidents, or concerns, ensuring effective resolution and compliance with safeguarding requirements. Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including children and families, local authorities, schools, health services, and external partners. Work collaboratively with senior management, local authorities, and other agencies to develop and implement multi-agency strategies and interventions. Promote a child-centered approach in all dealings, advocating for the needs and voices of children and families within the service. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that service delivery complies with local, regional, and state standards, regulations, and policies. Provide regular reports and updates on service performance, outcomes, and key metrics to senior management, commissioners, and external stakeholders. Assist in preparing for external inspections, audits, and reviews, ensuring that practice and service delivery meet required standards. ________________________________________
Essential Qualifications and Experience: Qualification: Degree in Social Work, Health. Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work Australia). Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a management or senior practitioner role within children's services or social care. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation, safeguarding policies, and best practices in children's services. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. ________________________________________
