headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds. The Opportunity As the Practice Manager of a headspace centre, you will provide management and administrative support which enables the effective management of the service, in order to meet the health needs of young people and to oversee the daily operations.
With the support of Administration Assistants, you will attend to all reception, secretarial, and administrative duties of the centre, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. The Practice Manager will ensure the smooth running of the service through actioning any recalls, reminders, requests and follow-ups required by the Practitioners. Additionally, you will also be required to collaborate with the Clinical Manager to facilitate and improve administrative and communication methods within the centre.
This position is a full-time five (5) days a week, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Candidates will be contacted as applications are received, and interviews will be scheduled from 26 November 2024. Please respond to each of the following criteria in your cover letter: Possession of a diploma or certificate in a relevant discipline (such as Diploma in Practice Management or Business Administration) and/or substantial experience in a similar role in health care management, general practice or health sectors. Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and the capacity to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels. Demonstrated ability to utilise highly developed interpersonal skills and specialist knowledge to efficiently manage private practice administration, client reception and IT systems. Detailed knowledge of structures and processes of Medicare and Health Insurers. Knowledge and/or experience of MBS system and processes for patient billing or the ability to rapidly acquire relevant skills. Excellent working knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic Medical Recording and the capacity to learn new clinical software for keeping electronic client records. Other Requirements Successful applicants will also need to hold a 'C' class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
