We are looking for a Practice Manager to join and lead our ARH Wollongong team!The Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong is a well-established small animal emergency hospital, providing emergency and overnight care for the entire Illawarra region while offering the highest standard of patient care.You will be joining an inclusive team dynamic, where we encourage open communication and contribution of ideas from all team members.
We understand that it takes a team to provide excellent client and patient care, and that starts at the top!Recently renovated, the revamped space boasts a total of nine consult rooms, with the addition of five new ones, three state-of-the-art surgical theatres, purpose-built areas for dental care, ultrasound, and endoscopy, as well as a brand-new reception area, complete with a cat-friendly waiting zone!We are seeking a supportive leader ideally with both strong clinical nursing and people management skills - this is the perfect opportunity to lead an experienced, friendly team and not completely step away from the clinical aspects of nursing.Your new role:Full time or Part time position available - availability for late night and weekend shifts requiredManaging the day-to-day operations of our hospital, including stock management, rostering, and change managementMonitoring monthly financial performance and team performance, whilst implementing actions to encourage improvementLeading a team of Vet Nurses and supporting busy VetsGuiding and developing the Nurse team, building a positive team cultureProvide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients, collaborating with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatmentsMonitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as neededMaintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocolsDriving our business forward through creating and implementing local marketing initiativesWhat you'll bring to the role:Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalentMinimum 4+ years of experience working as a vet nurse with previous experience leading a teamExcellent clinical skills and knowledge of emergency nursing practices and proceduresA positive and enthusiastic attitude towards workGreat attention to detailHR experience in performance monitoring and managementStrong leadership and team building skills, and the ability to provide coaching for team members and to build a positive culture in your teamExperience with Rx works (preferred but not essential)Strong communication and customer service skillsGood business acumen and organisational skillsIf this sounds like you, Apply Now!
