THE ROLE This role is a combined role of providing Child Protection Practice Leadership and plays a specific role in relation to sexual exploitation. The Child Protection Practice Leader/Practice Leader Sexual Exploitation plays a critical role in the protection of children and young people from sexual exploitation and is responsible for providing expert practice advice and leadership; supporting and developing Child Protection Practitioners in the integration of theory and practice while demonstrating expertise through case management interventions, systems development, relationship building and bringing about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people. A key purpose of this role is to identify children more effectively at risk of sexual exploitation, work with the Victoria Police to prevent it and support young people to recover.
This role is 0.5 Practice Leader Sexual Exploitation and 0.5 general Practice Leader.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Risk assessment and analysis - gathers information through a variety of sources and technologies in order to identify, articulate, and plan for the risks relating to each situation. Applies a strong forensic lens, and professional judgement, to analyse the available evidence. Child centred and family focused relationship-based practice - focuses on the child and incorporates the family and social network, to deliver timely and proactive solutions. Practice leadership - leads children, families, and stakeholders through child protection assessment and decision making in an open, informed, proactive, and assertive manner Please open the position description to read more. WORKING IN RURAL VICTORIA INCENTIVE External applicants relocating to a regional area could be eligible for up to $22,000 worth of incentives. Internal applicants relocating to a regional area could be eligible for up to $14,000 worth of incentives. If you live and work in an area classified as 'remote' by the Australian Tax Office, you may also be eligible for additional salary packaging arrangements, such as mortgage interest, rental costs, and residential utilities.
