The position will provide ongoing support to staff and others to maintain the frameworks and deliver contemporary child protection and youth justice services to children, young people, and their families. In addition, the incumbent will be required to implement professional development strategies and activities including mentoring, coaching, and training to address identified needs.To be successful, you require an Australian tertiary qualification which gives eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian Community Workers Association, or the Australian Psychological Society or equivalent. A strong understanding of the principles and functions of supervising staff in the delivery of statutory and non-statutory welfare services, highly developed professional skills in conducting strength-based assessments, developing and delivering effective interventions, and applying best practice principles is essential.
