Practice Leader Professional 3 Remuneration Package $126,958 - $141,986 (including salary $108,699 - $121,738) Clinical Practice and Professional Services Full time ongoing vacancy in Alice Springs, Northern Territory Territory Families, Housing and Communities works with families, individuals and stakeholders to create stronger communities where children experience safe, healthy and happy childhoods, women and men from all cultural and linguistic backgrounds have equal opportunities, and senior Territorians are appreciated and respected.
The Practice Leader role is located within the Central region, will facilitate local implementation of agency agreed child protection and youth justice practice frameworks and models. The position will provide ongoing support to staff and others to maintain the frameworks and deliver contemporary child protection and youth justice services to children, young people, and their families. In addition, the incumbent will be required to implement professional development strategies and activities including mentoring, coaching, and training to address identified needs.
To be successful, you require an Australian tertiary qualification which gives eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian Community Workers Association, or the Australian Psychological Society or equivalent. A strong understanding of the principles and functions of supervising staff in the delivery of statutory and non-statutory welfare services, highly developed professional skills in conducting strength-based assessments, developing and delivering effective interventions, and applying best practice principles. In addition, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family, and community structures, with the ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.
