This is a remote, work FROM ANYWHERE in Australia position!Head Office is on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland Do you want to...Make a lasting impact on individuals and communities affected by suicide.Work in a supportive and inclusive environment that values collaboration and professional growth.Access ongoing professional development opportunities.The Practice Lead will oversee the Counselling and Phone Service, ensuring the provision of high-quality, trauma-informed support to individuals bereaved by suicide.This leadership role involves managing a team, delivering clinical services, and cultivating a collaborative work environment.
You will offer direct counselling services, conduct assessments, and provide supervision to staff.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct bio-psycho-social assessments and risk evaluations for clients.Develop individualized care plans and provide ongoing support through one-on-one counselling and group therapy.Facilitate support groups for bereaved individuals and families.Lead and mentor a team of counsellors, ensuring professional development and a high standard of service delivery.Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for best practice care.Essential Qualifications and Experience:Relevant tertiary qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work, or mental health.Postgraduate qualification in bereavement counselling.A minimum of four years of supervised counselling experience, including team management.Current registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., AASW, PACFA, ACA, AHPRA).Experience in grief, loss, and trauma counselling, particularly related to suicide bereavement.Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience in supervising clinical practices.Proven experience in crisis intervention and therapeutic support for diverse populations.Desirable:Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counselling.Certification as a Certified Bereavement Practitioner (CBP).If you are a compassionate leader with a commitment to supporting those in need, we encourage you to apply!
