We are seeking an experienced Practice Coordinator to join our team and support the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior receptionist looking to take on a more involved role with additional responsibilities in a busy, patient-focused environment.
About the Role:
As the Practice Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of the clinic run smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, coordinating appointments, managing patient records, and supporting a team of healthcare professionals. You will also take on administrative tasks, managing patient flow, and maintaining a positive, welcoming atmosphere for everyone who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Patient Coordination: Manage incoming patient calls, appointment scheduling, and general enquiries.Managing key operations and projects such as accreditation, marketing and project delivery Clinic Management: Oversee the clinic's daily operations, ensuring everything is running efficiently.Patient Records Management: Use Best Practice software to accurately maintain patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.Financial Administration: Process billing and payments, and assist with patient invoicing and Medicare claims.Team Support: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care and smooth clinic operations.Customer Service: Provide a professional, friendly, and empathetic service to all patients, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.Stock Management: Monitor and order medical and office supplies.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a medical practice, ideally with at least 2 years in a senior receptionist or administrative position.Best Practice Software: Strong working knowledge and experience with Best Practice software (mandatory).Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to support and lead when necessary.Compassionate Approach: A genuine interest in patient care and a friendly, compassionate approach to patient interactions.Why Join Us?
