Your OpportunityReady to inspire and lead a team committed to making a lasting impact? As our Practice Co-ordinator at Djindigal Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Residential Rehabilitation Service, you'll play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their recovery journey. You'll oversee treatment plans, manage referrals, and utilize the latest evidence-based practices to meet diverse client needs. Join us in supporting individuals as they take control of their substance use, set personal goals, and work towards a positive future. With your support, clients will be empowered to continue their progress and build a healthier life beyond our residential program.
Djindigal service aims to provide a way for people who have self-identified substance use concerns, to take control of their use and reduce the negative impacts on their life. The service will empower and equip them to achieve their individual goals relating to their substance use, and to be able to continue their recovery journey for a further 6 months after leaving the residential setting.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide practice leadership and support to the entire team.Assist in the recruitment, supervision, leadership and development of a small team of clinical and health support staff.Support the service to use the SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training) Recovery therapeutic group program.Support the Registered Nurse and AOD Counsellor to provide high quality service to clients.Actively engage with clients to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions including informal and specialist therapies, counselling, etc.Assist with ensuring the service is obtaining and maintains its accreditation standards.Requirements for SuccessRelevant tertiary qualifications - Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology, or other human services-related field.Experience in community-based nursing, alcohol and drugs and/or mental health.Demonstrated ability to provide specialised or complex therapeutic interventions and manage a caseload of complex clients.Experience supervising and leading teams.Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
