About the Role:
The Practice Assurance Advisor role is part of a national Practice Assurance Team within the Centre for Practice Excellence responsible for supporting the Disability and Mental Health teams to deliver great services in our communities. The position works collaboratively with Client Services and other business areas to ensure a consistent, effective, and efficient approach to safeguarding and continuous quality improvement through the delivery of audit and assurance activities and practice support.
This is a permanent full time position that will be supporting the NT and can be located from Darwin or Alice Springs with flexibility to work from home or the office. Engagement with front line team members in the community is essential so travel in Darwin and Alice Springs is required.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare advice and provide support and tools to implement legislation, standards, contracts, policy and procedure requirements and safeguarding practicesUndertake internal audits, assurance activities, root cause analysis and continuous improvement processesActively identify systemic issues, share best practice and improvementsAssist in the development of reports, policies, procedures, practice improvements and toolsProvide support and advice on practice approaches to integrate safeguarding and risk management into core business activityCoordinate and undertake internal audits and assurance activities in accordance with the Internal Audit Program and business needsContribute to the process for renewing/gaining accreditation/licensingFacilitate meetings and reflective practice processes with Client Services staffMaintain a current knowledge of changes to legislation, practice standards and customer requirementsKeep abreast of best practice and emerging trends and interpretations of legislative/regulatory requirements that may impact LWB's business and quality assurance strategiesSkills & Experience: Practice and quality experience within the community services or health sectorsExpertise in quality assurance against established standardsExperience with auditing and accreditation processes as well as implementing a Quality Management SystemExperience developing policies, procedures, and process documentsDetail-oriented with a focus on high-quality workExperience working collaboratively and developing rapport with operational areas, working across an organisation to assist in the implementation of organisational changeSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check.
