About the Opportunity
Join our Quality team in Osborne, SA, as an experienced Production Quality Control (PQC) Technical Officer on the Collins Class Submarines Program. The PQC Technical Officer will be responsible for completing PQC activities as part of third-party inspection requirements and the review of quality documentation on the Collins Class Submarines.
Responsibilities Perform PQC in accordance with nominated specifications, codes and/or work instructions and ensure results are communicated without delay. Ensure all work allocated is performed as efficiently as possible and within start / finish times nominated. Ability to comprehend and resolve PQC process issues. Interpret system schematic drawings and documentation to confirm the use of correct procedures by production tradespeople during testing. Provide PQC consultative advice, as appropriate, to production and engineering staff on new and existing design work. Ensuring the accuracy of work completed and the formalisation of this through signed reports/documentation. About you Essential Trade Certificate (Mechanical, Machining, Fitter and Turner). Conversant with manufacturing, fabrication and Quality control methods involved in large/complex projects. High level of communication skills and report writing. Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite. Desirable PQC Metrology testing experience. Experience in NACE 2 and or Corrosion Technology. White card. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
