Distribution Power Worker (Line Worker/Cable Jointer) Joining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Line Worker/Cable Jointer for role we call 'Power Worker'.
A Power Worker is more than just a crew member, we are highly skilled and competent tradespeople working on every aspect of the energy grid from Generation to Metering.
Our tight nit team carry out network upgrades, maintenance, and customer funded projects safely, efficiently, and professionally, right across the Pilbara.
In this role, you'll have the chance to grow your career by gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies like Stand Alone Power Systems (SPS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
You'll also have opportunities for professional development, including CT Metering, Leadership Qualifications, Machinery Operations, Planned Switching and Network Fault response.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Port Hedland.
Your role will include: • Completing work in accordance with relevant instructions and standards • Completion of data and commissioning sheets (paper and electronic) • Taking part in an afterhours On-Call roster (troubleshooting and resolving issues related to power distribution systems) • Operating plant and equipment in accordance with qualifications and standards • Collaborating with other team members to complete projects safely and efficiently • Adhering to all safety protocols, regulation, policies & procedures You will have: • Certificate III Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) – Distribution Powerline qualification or Australian Line Worker Trade qualification equivalent • Cert III Cable Joining • HR Drivers Licence as a minimum (and be prepared to transfer to a WA Heavy Vehicle Licence) • White Card • High Risk Licences: EWP/WP, Forklift (FL), Dogman (DG), Rigging (RB), Vehicle Heavy Rigid (HR) • Current First Aid/Senior First Aid & CPR Desirable: • High Voltage Glove and Barrier Qualification • High Voltage / Low Voltage Cable Jointing Qualification • C2 Crane HRWL • Rigging & dogging • Low Voltage & High Voltage Switching qualifications and experience • Current Pole Top rescue, EWP Rescue, EWP Emergency Decent Device/Escape Our employees enjoy real rewards and recognition including: • 5 weeks annual leave • Additional 3 days of Private Leave • 13 weeks long service leave after 7 years of continuous service • Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers • Special family leave of up to 10 days paid, non-cumulative • Professional Development opportunities Our workplace culture is created through every interaction, every experience and everything we do.
