Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Power Conversion Systems (PCS) Technical Expert to join our team. This is a newly created role that will be instrumental in helping Innomotics enter and succeed in new markets, particularly in Power-to-Power applications supporting renewable technologies. You will collaborate closely with our sales teams, customers, and product developers to develop market strategies and provide in-depth technical expertise.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, market knowledge, and the ability to lead without formal authority. You will work on complex PCS projects, from design to execution, and play a key role in the development of new energy concepts and solutions.
Key Responsibilities: As a Power Conversion Systems (PCS) Technical Expert at Innomotics, you will lead the identification and securing of orders for complex PCS projects. This includes managing all aspects such as design, technical scope, scheduling, resourcing, and contract negotiations. You will provide deep technical expertise to both the sales organization and customers, advising on how to effectively use and integrate Innomotics' PCS products into their systems. In this role, you will support sales teams by developing highly technical energy solutions tailored to the needs of potential customers.
You will act as an expert in product application, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure that Innomotics' offerings meet specific market requirements. Your expertise will also be leveraged as you collaborate with product developers and management at headquarters, offering strategic, commercial, and organizational recommendations for the development of new market offerings and business models.
In addition to this, you will develop technical and commercial concepts that support the sales process and drive market penetration. Part of your responsibilities will involve planning and completing consulting assignments with industry partners at both technical and commercial levels. You will also take on responsibility for securing new orders and assisting in the successful execution of complex energy solutions.
Finally, you will lead and coordinate expert teams both locally and globally, facilitating team activities to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Engineering (required), with preference for additional business qualifications. Several years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in Power Conversion Systems (PCS) and renewable energy technologies. In-depth understanding of market trends and customer needs within the energy solutions sector. Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic technical advice. Proven experience in lean engineering and manufacturing processes. Results-oriented mindset, with a tenacious approach to portfolio management. High level of collaboration, capable of leading without formal authority. Ability to analyse and communicate complex technical solutions in an easy-to-understand manner. Why Join Us?
