Band 4 - Salary range $88,641 - $125,141 per annum (plus super) TasNetworks is at the forefront of delivering reliable and innovative energy solutions for Tasmania and we are on the hunt for talented Engineers to join our Network Operations team.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Power Systems Engineer to play a key role in optimizing the performance, reliability, and future-readiness of Tasmania's electricity network.
The role of Power Systems Engineer provides technical expertise in power systems design, operation, and analysis, with further responsibilities including:
Conducting power systems simulations, analysis and design to ensure optimal network performance.Provide advice and collaborate with a range of stakeholders on connection processes and current and future network performance challenges.Managing technical requirements for new and existing connections.Ensuring compliance with power quality and network performance standards.About youYou are a proactive problem-solver with a strong foundation in power systems engineering and a passion for delivering customer-focused solutions.
You bring:
A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.Experience in power systems design, analysis, and performance management.Knowledge of National Electricity Rules (NER) and compliance requirements.Strong analytical and project management skills.Demonstrated experience in PSS/E &/or SINCAL.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.If you are skilled in power systems and enthusiastic about being part of this energy transition please submit your application today!
