Connected Energy is responsible for the development and operation of our expanding portfolio of grid connected assets, which include microgrids at Peel Business Park, Ocean Reef Marina, and Eglinton Village.
About the Role
Zenith is currently recruiting for a permanent Power Systems Engineer.
The right candidate will play a key role in contributing to the design, installation, commissioning, and optimization of grid connected power systems and HV + LV networks.

The Power Systems Engineer will report directly to the General Manager .
What you will do!
Designing and implementing architectures such as microgrids and smart grids.
Integrating detailed designs of solar arrays and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into existing power systems.
Assisting in preliminary power system design (Specification of switchboards, transformers, and power conversion systems).
Analysing HV and LV distribution, control, protection, and metering earthing systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
Applying standards and regulations for design and operation.
Conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions to address issues with existing power generation and distribution assets.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and project managers, to achieve project objectives.
Providing guidance and mentoring to the team and fostering a collaborative culture to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Experience
Proven experience in Power System and Electrical Engineering.
Experience in metering and power protection schemes.
Experience in HV/LV Power System design.
Experience with current regulations and Australian standards relevant to power systems design and construction.
Experience in renewable energy projects would be desirable.
Skills/Knowledge
Ability to develop control designs and select equipment suitable for work packages.
Strong understanding of current Australian Standards for Electrical Installations including AS 2067, AS 3000, and AS 5033.
Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Good communication skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Clearances
National Police Certificate.
Medical Certificate.
