Powering Skills Organisation (PSO) is a Jobs and Skills Council (JSC) for the Energy, Gas and Renewables sector in Australia.
This JSC sector works for energy industries to find solutions to skills and workforce challenges.
Ultimately, the goal is to build strong collaboration between industry and training providers to deliver better outcomes for those coming into the sector and those wanting to increase their workforce.

About the role: As the Industry Engagement Lead at PSO, you will work closely with and report to the Industry Engagement Manager, playing a crucial role in fostering and maintaining strategic relationships and efforts across the Energy, Gas, and Renewables sectors.
This role will offer virtual/work from home arrangements with travel throughout Australia required at times.
We have two vacancies available that will see you engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and industry experts to build connections, foster relationships and add value to deliver PSO's vision and purpose.
It is a dynamic role that requires a high level of industry knowledge, effective engagement capabilities, and strong analytical skills to interpret and collate data and insights.
Being a 100% hybrid opportunity, you can work from anywhere in Australia!
Key responsibilities include: Advising and engaging with industry to gain insights on workforce gaps, new skill requirements and industry talent pipelines.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to build trust and expertise across the entire energy sector in Australia Explore and execute collaboration opportunities with other JSCs to explore innovative approaches and areas where synergies can be achieved, implementing engagement strategies.
Interpret, collate and compile complex data and industry insights into reports, briefing papers and visual presentations to inform decision-making processes.
Build on existing relationships and establish new relationships with a range of key stakeholders as a trusted expert of PSO.
Selection Criteria: We are looking for candidates who are passionate about engaging with diverse stakeholder groups.
Confidence and actively listening will be key to enable you to advise, gain insights and collect data from stakeholders in a meaningful and energising way.

Key criteria required to be successful in this role include: Experience engaging with stakeholders within regulated industries, government, peak bodies, unions and/or registered training organisations is ideal Excellent writing skills to effectively deliver formal and informal communication via email, reports and presentation materials Have a curious and perceptive nature to connect the dots, anticipate challenges and create opportunities for improved engagement The ability to interpret and distil data, analytical information and insights, using this to build your engagement strategies and tell the PSO story A communication style that creates collaboration, incorporating high levels of emotional and social intelligence.
