About the Role : You will be responsible for all aspects of powder coating so there will be expectation that you will take charge of the process and ensure the highest quality of workmanship. We have a variety of processes involving pre-treatment tanks, spray booths and curing ovens. The successful applicant will have a comprehensive understanding and proven abilities in all aspects of powder coating.
A willingness to be cross trained in other production processes will be highly regarded.
Tasks include: ? Reading and understanding production documentation.
? Processing parts through pre-treatment tanks.
? Hanging and unloading products for powder coating.
? Setup and operation of powder coating equipment.
? Ensuring high quality and consistent powder coating across a variety of component shapes and sizes.
? Checking and confirming accuracy of work performed.
? Maintaining equipment and work area.
? Ensuring appropriate PPE is worn at all times.
? Following all safety processes and procedures.
? Use of small hand tools such as wire crimpers, cutters, etc.
? Picking, packing and labeling of parts as needed.
? Contributing to reviews of internal processes as part of our commitment to continual improvement.
Qualifications & experience : ? No formal qualifications are required.
? Prior experience with powder coating essential. ? Positive, can-do attitude
? Experience in a workshop/factory environment
? Ability to use small power and hand tools
? Good communication skills working in a team
? Strong attention to detail and quality control
? Commitment to safe work practices
