Job ResponsibilitiesCouncil is currently seeking a Casual Pound Assistant. This position will assist with the daily care and administration of companion animals (dogs and cats) and cleaning of the pound facility.
Duties will include but are not limited to: Daily care and monitoring of companion animalsCleaning of enclosures and pound facilityAssisting vets whilst they provide treatment to stray companion animals in Council's care if requiredMaintaining and updating the communication and pound register.To be successful in this position you will need to have: Class C Drivers LicencePrevious experience working in animal care, control, cleaning or similarGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work with limited supervision and work weekendsCertificate IV in Companion Animal Services (desirable)Apply by submitting your resume and providing a brief response as to why you are a great fit for this role!
