McLean Farms, located just 20 minutes northeast of Bendigo, is seeking a dedicated Poultry Laying Shed Hand to join our dynamic team.

About the Role: As a Poultry Laying Shed Hand, you will play a vital role in the daily management of our laying farm.
This position involves assisting in egg collection, grading, animal husbandry, and maintaining biosecurity standards.
You will work closely with the Poultry Laying Supervisor to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
What You'll Do: Egg Collection and Grading: Assist in the collection of eggs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and grade eggs according to company standards.
Animal Husbandry: Support the daily care of poultry, ensuring their nutrition, health, and welfare are maintained.
Operational Tasks: Perform feeding, cleaning, and maintenance tasks to keep the farm running smoothly.
Compliance and Safety: Adhere to WHS policies and contribute to a safe working environment by following safety protocols.
Biosecurity: Follow biosecurity measures to prevent disease spread and participate in regular biosecurity training.
Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining records of egg production and grading metrics, as well as reports on bird health and performance.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed on industry trends and work with the team to implement new techniques that improve efficiency and egg quality.
