Located at the Faculty of Engineering on the Darlington Campus Opportunity to make valuable contributions to research in green hydrogen production supported by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency Research (ARENA) Accelerating Commercialisation (TRAC) Program Base salary, Level A, $105,350 - $112,462 p.a. + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The University of Sydney are seeking to appoint 2 x Postdoctoral Researcher in Electrochemistry and Chemical Engineering Research to work within research groups led by Prof. Antonio Tricoli and Dr. Fengwang Li in the Faculty of Engineering .
The team has advanced research on electrocatalyst design, electrochemistry, electrolyser engineering, and green hydrogen production. You will be given the opportunity to work collaboratively with a motivated team of early career researchers and PhDs on water electrolysis. Within the team, you will be given the opportunity to expand your research skills and experience and to grow in your career as a mentee and a mentor, and to expand your research network when liaising with collaborative research partners.

Your key responsibilities will be to: contribute and co-lead the research program and milestones of the ARENA TRAC Program Project explore new research for furthering scientific understandings, breakthroughs and impact, assist in developing new research proposals and build and expand new research collaboration opportunities assist in intellectual property protection and in liaising with industry partners for technology transfer prepare presentations for disseminating research and manuscripts for publication in high impact scientific journals assist in the supervision of undergraduate, masters and PhD students within Professor Tricoli's and Dr Li's groups work with other team members on establishing and maintaining best practice protocols for safe and efficient operation of the groups' laboratories. a PhD in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science or related science or engineering subjects experience with electrochemistry and chemical engineering a strong track record of publications, research translation and other impact metrics excellent communication skills with the ability to work dynamically and collaboratively with research group members, research partners, industry partners, suppliers and manufacturers and the ability to meet milestones and deadlines good analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to utilise data analytics and modelling software accordingly.
