YOUR ROLE IN OUR FUTURE Postdoctoral Researcher 12-month Fixed-Term, Full-Time 80 hours per fortnight with ADO's Exciting opening for a post-doctoral researcher to work on bioinformatics analysis and methods development in the context of tumour immunology.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a number of projects in the field of immuno-oncology with collaborators within and outside of the Peter Mac.
Essential Requirements: PhD in relevant quantitative scientific field such as bioinformatics, physics, statistics, computer science or mathematics An excellent academic record Advanced programming skills in a scripting programming language such as R or Python Advanced data analysis, data science or statistical skills in a scientific context Ability to design analyses based on scientific questions Strong desire to combine different platforms and bioinformatics techniques to address questions in cancer Ability to develop novel algorithms or statistical analysis approaches An interest in performing cutting edge research using the latest technologies Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and respect for others Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desirable Requirements: Experience with transcriptomics, single-cell data or spatial analysis Proficiency/experience with specific single cell analysis packages (Seurat/Scanpy) Experience with Linux OS Publications as lead author or co-author Previous experience in working in the field of immunology Demonstrated skill in statistical analysis Experience collaborating with biologists This position is an opportunity for the successful candidate to further develop skills and knowledge in the computational biology field specifically related to immunology.
The candidate will design and apply analytical approaches to data from emerging high-throughput sequencing single cell sequencing to investigate the role of the immune system in cancer.

The successful individual will be based in either the Beavis laboratory at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre or the Waithman lab at the University of Western Australia.
